Well, one of the longest years has finally come to an end. And while it definitely was a year to remember (and not for the right reasons), I’m grateful for the small positive points that happened along the way. I’ll be doing a separate post with some of my favourite reads from 2020 but here’s a quick recap of the final month of 2020.
When I started the year, I set my original reading goal at 50 books. But halfway through the year, I hit that number and increased my goal to a lofty 100 (a number I have almost never reached in previous years. My final tally was a whopping 119 books read in 2020! I can’t believe it. It was a mixture of discovering audiobooks and setting aside 30 minutes at day to read.
I fell a bit short on my #AToZCozy2020 challenge but I’m still happy with the new cozy mystery authors I discovered because of this personal challenge.
Here’s what I read in December:
And here is the one audiobooks I managed to finish to in December:
- 2020 GoodReads Challenge: 119/100
- #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge: 19/26
I’m still not blogging as much as I’d like to be, but I’m happy with the way things have been going, including my new monthly cozy mystery new release calendar posts. I’m definitely going to be continuing that feature in 2021. So watch this blog for more reviews, more author interviews and a few new features in the new year!

I took the last two weeks of the year and completely went offline – I took a break from work and kept social media to a minimum. I just relaxed, watched TV and hung out with my husband. It. Was. Glorious. I really needed to recharge. I’m starting the new year with exciting new ideas, for my blog, my business and my personal life.
I hope that you had a great holiday season and that you’re ready for 2021! I know that the world is still pretty crazy and chaotic, so as always, be kind to each other and let’s get through this together.
