Welcome to my Monthly Recap for February! It hasn’t been as busy of a month as I had hoped. I came down with a bout of vertigo mid-month that lasted nearly two weeks which kept my book and screen time to a bare minimum. Still, I can’t complain. It’s been great – my first full month of blogging and I can’t wait to see what March brings!
I did manage to read two books before my vertigo hit and then sneaked in one at the end of the month, but I’m still a bit behind in terms of my Challenge numbers.
So that brings my Reading Challenge numbers to:
- 2019 GoodReads Challenge: 5/60
- 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks: 3/52 read; 3/52 reviewed
I posted 4 new reviews in February! Hooray! Plus, I started a new post series that I hope I’ll manage to keep going for awhile – ‘5 for Friday’, just a list of 5 bookish things that I’ll pick a different theme for each week.
- [review] The Pint of No Return by Ellie Alexander
- [review] A Murder by Any Name by Suzanne M. Wolfe
- [review] Cookin’ the Books by Amy Patricia Meade
- 5 for Friday: cookbooks inspired by books
- [review] To Brew or Not to Brew by Joyce Tremel
I’ve been consciously trying to keep my book spend to a minimum because of my change in employment at the end of 2018. I did buy two books, but thanks to some generous authors, the always useful library system and my discovery of NetGalley, I also received a bunch of lovely books in February. I can’t wait to get reading!
That’s it for February! Next month has a few of extra days and I’m (fingers crossed) vertigo free so I’m hoping to get even more done next month!
