I definitely started the new year with a bang! I published 5 posts in the first two weeks of January and read a whole bunch of books. Then January 12 hit (which was my birthday AND this blog’s first anniversary) and I went away for a week (which I REALLY needed to do) and I haven’t picked up a book since I got back.
To be fair, I did have a whole lot of work to catch up on, so, of course, the blog took a back seat. But I’m still pretty happy with how much I read/blogged in January overall. Here’s a quick look at how my month went.
I set my reading Goodreads reading goal at 50 for 2020. I’ve almost always set my goal at 50 (except for last year, which for some bizarre reason I decided to up it to 60 and it almost killed me).
I also created a new reading challenge for myself – a more realistic one than last year’s 52 cozy mysteries in 52. For 2020 I’m going to try to “read the alphabet” – one book for each letter of the alphabet based on the author’s last name. You can read more about that challenge here.
Here are the books I read in January:
- 2020 GoodReads Challenge: 5/50
- #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge: 3/26
- 2020 Reading Challenge: A to Z in Cozy Mysteries #AtoZCozy2020
- [review] There’s a Murder Afoot by Vicki Delany
- 5 for Friday: My book blog firsts
- 1-year blog anniversary!
- [review] The Case of the Curious Client by T.G. Campbell
Some of my blogging goals for this year include:
- blog at least 5 times a month
- complete the A to Z Cozy Challenge
- do at least 12 author interviews
All in all, a very good start to the year for me! I’m so grateful that you stopped by!
