Welcome to my Monthly Recap for March! It has been an eventful month at book frolic and I’m so excited to continue growing and learning about book blogging!
A few days ago I launched my book frolic Instagram account, so if you’re also on Instagram, I’d love it if you gave me a follow – I follow all bookish accounts back!
Plus, the weather is FINALLY getting nicer outside! It *smells* like Spring is in the air and I, for one, cannot be happier.
I’m slowing knocking books off my reading list and am getting into a pretty good rhythm of reading and reviewing. I’m still WAY behind on my Cozy Mystery Challenge, but I did manage to read a couple more in March.
So that brings my Reading Challenge numbers to:
- 2019 GoodReads Challenge: 9/60
- 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks: 5/52 read; 4/52 reviewed
Alongside a few new reviews and a 5 For Friday post, I also launched a new blog series – Q&A with authors! I’m so excited to share interviews with some of my favourite authors and I was literally dancing with joy when my first interviewee was none other than Ellie Alexander, one of my FAVOURITE cozy mystery authors!
- Author Q&A with Ellie Alexander
- 5 for Friday: culinary cozy mysteries
- Author Q&A with Amy Patricia Meade
- [review] Tastes Like Murder by Catherine Bruns
- [review] The Catherine Howard Conspiracy by Alexandra Walsh
- [review] The Good Teacher by Rachel Sargeant
I had always wanted to become a book blogger so that I could share my love of books. But I never realized becoming one would just increase my innate need for getting more books! I’ve been trying to (unsuccessfully) curb my book buying, but thanks to the library, NetGalley and all the lovely books I now see on Instagram, my book collection is definitely growing by leaps and bounds.
Whew! New author interviews, lots of new books and a new Instagram account! What a month! I can’t wait to see what April brings!
