Is it just me, or did May FLY by? I really feel like this month went by way too quickly. And the weather here in Toronto has been soooo crazy. It’s bouncing from 12 degrees Celcius to 21 degrees Celcius and back from day to day and it’s been raining ALL THE TIME. I’m so ready for the summer and nice, hot weather.
I only managed to read three books in May, which is pretty low for me. I’m hoping to read more in June, but with things getting even busier, I’m not sure that’s going to happen. Does anyone else have this problem? How do you carve out time to read when life starts getting incredibly busy?
So that brings my Reading Challenge numbers to:
- 2019 GoodReads Challenge: 16/60
- 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks: 7/52 read; 5/52 reviewed
Even though I didn’t read as much as I wanted to this past month, I did manage to get a solid number of blog posts published, which I’m happy about. Hoping to continue to trend in June!
- 5 for Friday: Signs that you were born to be a Book Lover
- [review] A Walking Shadow by Elizabeth Ireland [blog tour]
- [review] The Alchemist of Lost Souls by Mary Lawrence
- Author Q&A with Elizabeth Ireland [blog tour]
- [review] Murder at Macbeth by Samantha Goodwin
- 5 for Friday: Bidding farewell to Game of Thrones
- [review] The Adventurers and The Cursed Castle by Jemma Hatt
As with last month, I’m adding books to my TBR pile a lot faster than I’m managing to read them. But look at these amazing titles and beautiful covers! I can’t wait to dig into them!
Well, there’s my May in a nutshell. I hope you had a lovely month – let me know which books you’ve discovered and what you’re looking forward to in June!
Thanks for stopping by!
It’s so hard to make time to read when you are busy, I found that in the first few months of this year. Have a great June, Stephanie!
Thanks Stephen! I’m looking forward to the summer months! I can’t wait to see what you get up to this month!
