November was a really great month for me in terms of books! One of my most anticipated reads (The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern) was released, I knocked off more than a few titles off my TBR and inched closer to my GoodReads goal and I started putting together a couple of ideas that will (hopefully) turn into full-blog projects in 2020!
As we head into the last month of the year (DECADE) I know things will get even busier, so I’m going to take extra care to make sure I make time to slow down and read. I definitely don’t want to start the next decade already burned out!
After a great reading month in October, November was a bit slower. Mainly because I was working my way slowly through The Starless Sea (which is a few pages short of 500.) While it’s not a massive book, it’s longer than most of my reads, plus I really wanted to savour it (I’ve been waiting eight years for this!) so I read slower than usual.
This past month finally saw me catch up on the Rivers of London graphic novels. I’ve owned these forever but have never sat down to read them and I finally got around to it. I’m sorry it took me so long – these are the perfect addition to the Rivers of London series and I can’t wait for more.
I’m excited to say that I’m only TWO books away from hitting my GoodReads goal of 60 books in 2019. A few months ago I was way behind and never thought I’d make it, but now I definitely know I can. I’m already almost done my next book so Book 60 is just around the corner!
Here are the books I read in November:
- 2019 GoodReads Challenge: 58/60
- 52 cozy mysteries in 52 weeks: 18/52 read; 14/52 reviewed
- [review] The Dead Don’t Wait by Michael Jecks
- [review] Death on the Page by Essie Lang
- [review] The Adventurers and The Temple of Treasure by Jemma Hatt
- [review] Shadows of Hemlock by K.M. Pohlkamp
- [review] Death with Dostoevsky by Katherine Bolger Hyde
That’s two months in a row where I’m really happy with how much reading and blogging I was able to accomplish. I definitely thing that I’m getting the hang of this (finally) and I’m looking forward to putting even more effort into this blog in the new year. Now, let the holiday seasons begin!
Thanks for stopping by!
