After months of hectic work hours and very little time for personal hobbies, I’ve finally been able to find a nice balance for myself. I finally have a better handle on my time management (something I’ve never been great at and forcing myself to set aside 30 minutes a day to read has really been working out well.
The only regret I have is I don’t think I’ll be able to finish my #AtoZCozy2020 challenge – I’m still many books behind and I doubt I’ll be able to read them all in December (usually the busiest month of the year).
Speaking of December – are you ready for the holidays? I mailed all my Christmas cards today (the earliest I’ve ever been able to get them into the post) and am thinking about what holiday treats I’ll be baking this year. Do you have anything special planned for the holidays? Are there are books on your wishlist?
Setting aside 30 minutes at day to read has really increased the amount of books I’ve been able to finish. I’m so happy with this improvement. I’ve been enjoying all the books I’ve been reading lately – I’ve discovering several new authors (like RV Raman and Jane Willan) and several wonderful new mystery series that I’m definitely going to be following. Plus, I continue to make my way through Agatha Christie’s audiobook catalog.
Here’s what I read in November:
And here are the books I listened to in November:
- 2020 GoodReads Challenge: 112/100
- #AToZCozy2020 Reading Challenge: 19/26
I managed to blog a bit more in November and I’m enjoying writing reviews again.
I’ve been trying to get more involved in the cozy mystery community and one of the things I’ll be doing monthly is posting a calendar of upcoming releases. It’s a great way to showcase new and established authors and their new books. Plus, it’s also a great way for me to keep track of books that will be coming out.
I’m also thinking focusing on more author interviews in the new year, especially with cozy mystery authors. I can’t wait! It’s so great to be inspired to blog more again.
- Sneak peek: The Lady of the Cliffs by Rebecca Kightlinger
- [review] A Page Marked for Murder by Lauren Elliott
- [cover reveal] The Mystery of Montague House by Emma Davies [blog tour]

- [review] A Will to Kill by R.V. Raman
Obviously, my goals for December are to keep up with my daily reading habit and try to blog more often. I’m hoping to end the year on a high note in terms of my blog and head into 2021 with lots of fresh ideas!
What do you have planned for December? Let me know what you’ve been up to – I really want to hear from you! Stay safe and stay kind!
