Are you ready for some Sneak Peeks?!
You may have noticed a new type of post here on book frolic – Sneak Peeks!
A Sneak Peek will share book details, a short author bio and an excerpt from an upcoming or recent release. I had never planned on doing this type of post on my blog but decided that it was just a small thing I could do to support the writing community.
With the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down many cities and countries, life has definitely changed for most of us. I won’t be posting about the pandemic very much on my blog (although you may see glimpses of my daily life and how it has been affected on my Twitter and Instagram timelines).
Along with almost everything else, like public gatherings, restaurants, shopping malls, etc being shut down, cancelled or postponed, I know many book events and launches have also been cancelled.
To support those authors who have had to cancel their book launches, I’ve offered to post book excerpts in a small effort to support their new books if they fall under the mystery or historical fiction genres (because those are the two genres I read the most). The response to my offer has been amazing so you’ll see lots of Sneak Peeks over the next few weeks!
